Discover Trusted DVA Support Services for Your Home

We are more than a support service.
We are partners in your journey toward balance.
Services After Serving was created to make household support easier to arrange.
For many people, the hard part is not just the cleaning, mowing, gardening or meal preparation. It is finding someone reliable. Explaining what needs to be done. Booking a time. Checking funding. Following up. Then making sure the job was actually completed.
That can be a lot. We help make that process simpler.
Services After Serving coordinates practical household services for veterans, seniors, aged care clients and private customers. You tell us what support is needed, and we help arrange the right provider for the job.
Our role is to keep things clear, organised and respectful from the first request through to completion.
Our Story
Why we exist
Life at home can become harder for all sorts of reasons. Age. Injury. Illness. Disability. Recovery. Service-related needs. Family circumstances.
When that happens, everyday jobs can start to pile up. Lawns get away. Gutters fill. Meals become harder to prepare. Cleaning becomes too much. Small tasks become frustrating.
Services After Serving exists to help people stay safe, comfortable and independent at home.
We do that by taking the stress out of organising household support.

Home maintenance tasks
Support with jobs like window cleaning, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning and minor home tasks that can be difficult to manage alone.
Meal and shopping assistance
Help with meal preparation, grocery shopping and everyday essentials for people who need a hand keeping the kitchen stocked and meals organised.
Gardening and yard maintenance
Support with gardening, lawn mowing, edging, weeding, pruning and general outdoor upkeep so the property stays neat and manageable.
Cleaning and housekeeping

How to apply
1. Speak with your GP
With help from your GP, complete the DVA Household Services claim form, known as form D9319. Once completed, submit it to DVA at HHS@dva.gov.au.
2. Complete an Occupational Therapist assessment
You may need an Occupational Therapist assessment to review your activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapist will complete the D9353 form and submit it to DVA.
3. Wait for DVA’s decision
DVA will review your application and send you a determination letter confirming whether you are eligible for household services. Once you receive this letter, forward it to Services After Serving.
We will help organise the approved support from there.
To access DVA funding for household services, you will need to follow the DVA approval process first.
